For past couple of weeks I had the genuine pleasure of interning at Arirang’s ‘Super K-POP’ radio show. It’s been a little bit of a ride as I had to work in an all-Korean environment (minus the fluent English-speaking DJ) and I didn’t really have the chance to express my gratitude to everyone on the team. All of the Arirang staff were so incredibly hospitable during my short time there and I am so thankful for that. Who knew that you would be so welcomed when you weren’t fluent in the language or know what the hell you’re really doing?
Although there was a language barrier between myself and the rest of the team, we somehow worked together well enough to make sure that the show ran smoothly. I was able to see how a radio show works real-time and what is put into to create a show like this. And not to mention, I was able to meet a few artists and watch them do their thing behind their scenes. I couldn’t have spent time on a better show, Super K-POP was an absolute ball.
A big shout out to LUNAFLY, who were always so friendly and mood-lifting whenever they came in. It’s a shame I didn’t get to know them better, but they were so incredibly down-to-earth and talented and if you happen to be a fan of them then I can confidently say that they are worth every second of your time. If you’re not yet familiar with LUNAFLY, then I say to you..YouTube them, pronto!
It’s beenĀ so fun and interning at Arirang has been a magical way to cap off my trip in Korea.
Until next time, Arirang.
