It’s over! Thanks for the ride, City Hunter.
I don’t think I’ve watched a drama that good in a while. It’s not perfect. It has so many flaws but the good definitely outweigh the bad. I did not see the ending coming and I think main ending was perfect for the series. But there are a few loose ends. For example, what ever happened to the creepy guy in the basement? Or, did Poo Chai ever give Nana that ring?

After the time lapse, it should have been the scene where Nana receives the ring…not both of them staring at each other (hormones raging, most likely). And in replacement of Poo Chai driving around the night, it should have been him visiting Young Joo’s grave once more.
They did, however, leave the ending open enough for another season. I’m not sure what the manga was like… (or if that was end of it) or if they even have enough material to go on for another season but I wouldn’t mind a second season.
City Hunter was never about the romance, romance was just one of the obstacles to go by. And for that, I loved it so very much. Even though 2011 is not over, City Hunter is definitely my drama of the year. I can’t foresee any other drama taking the spot to be honest. It plucked all the right strings and I couldn’t hold back my tears (even for the characters I didn’t really take a shine).
I didn’t think the ending was going to live up to the start, but I think it finished on a very decent note. Could’ve have done better but given the time constraints, the great eye candy and blah blah blah, I forgive them.
Well now that it’s over….how will I live? :(
Farewell, City Hunter.
Farewell, City Hunter.
P.S Fingers crossed Poo Chai is making his way down to Sydney in early August!
