2015 has been one hell of a year. Stacey & James’s wedding, my graduation and moving to New York — just to list a few things off the top of my head. I can’t believe that the end is already approaching, but I’m gearing up for Christmas.
Everyone needs a fluffy beanie for the winter. It’s actually been quite warm, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed to experience my first white Christmas. Here’s how I’ve been gearing up for the festive season.
I picked up this cutie, the Sidonie Pom Beanie, from Anthropologie.
I’ve been looking for a fluffy pom pom beanie for ages and this one definitely keeps my little bun head warm. It’s stretchy, has a second lining inside and it’s not that annoying scratchy feeling.
FLUFFY TIMES AHEAD!
To brave the cold, I chose Canada Goose’s Kensington Parka. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about Canada Goose and although it’s an investment, I’m guaranteed to be toasty. I haven’t experienced weather below freezing yet, but this one is perfect for weather between 5°C and -20°C.
For the snowy days to come, I have my Sorel Tivoli II boots ready. They have new suede ones out now in beige with black laces, but I love the look of the premium leather over suede. I haven’t tried them out yet but they are amazingly comfy for the time I’ve tried them on and they are not expensive at all. They also look great and come with pretty laces (they also come with some plain ones). I’m itching to try them soon, so I’m eagerly waiting for a freakishly cold day.
Also, pictured above is the Christmas tree I put up sometime last week. Excuse the lack of gifts at the bottom of the tree. I’m really counting down to The Force Awakens, as you can probably tell by the R2D2 and Stormtrooper lights. I discovered these on Amazon but were able to snag them for a slightly better price at Barnes & Noble.
Each set has ten lights and two sets were absolutely perfect for my small tree (it’s about 130cm). They light up so well that I’m probably not going to buy any other ornaments, even though I think a few more would look nicer.
These little friends are absolutely adorable. They are the Christmas-edition of the Itty Bitty Star Wars range. I bought these online and was only able to get these two. I also wanted C3PO but he is still sold out. Still, I’m glad to have gotten Chewbacca (SO ADORABLE!) and Yoda.
There are about a million things to do before the start of 2016 and I’ve still yet to feel entirely settled in NYC, but I’m excited. Very excited. Also, just snow already!!!!
